So I was thinking today that I haven't had a pet word in awhile, but I was wrong; it's been all about the ghastly as of late. Love it! It took me awhile to integrate that one into my vernac, and it doesn't have the same pizzaz as it would if I had a convincing British accent I could whip out at will, but it's still a great word. My pet word has been loathe for quite some time now; I love the way it rolls off the tongue, so succinct, and somehow it has a bit more emphasis than hate. Hate is overused. People hate burned bagels and old lady drivers and their cousins; if you loathe a thing, you truly detest it ( Read more... )
